Banna Ceoil

Here in Scoil San Phroinsias we have a fantastic school band. All the children from 3rd to 6th classes have the opportunity to play in the school band. We play tin whistles, accordions, belyras, drums and various other percussion instruments. It takes a lot of work to form a school band. The children start learning the tinwhistle in 1st class, and by the time they are in 3rd class they are ready to join the band. The band plays at all school functions, including school masses, communion, confirmation and of course they march in the St. Patrick's Day parade.
